Every person has an identity. No two people express themselves exactly the same way. Even when they share similar traits, there are always differences that make each individual recognizable. As we get to know someone, we naturally begin recognizing who they are through their personality, interests, communication style, reactions, and the roles they play. Most of the time, that's enough. But there are times when we need to prove who we are or verify someone else's identity. Driver's licenses, passports, school IDs, employee badges...we use IDs every day, often without giving them a second thought. An ID doesn't tell us everything about a person. It simply helps us identify who we're looking at. Astrology works the same way. Every planet, zodiac sign, and house has its own identity. Yet because they share similarities, they can begin sounding alike—even for experienced astrologers.

In this series, we'll compare similarities, identify differences, gather clues, and gradually separate one archetype from another until each one stands on its own. To learn the process, we'll use what I call the Sun and Moon Families as our examples. By learning to identify each archetype before combining it with others, you'll create delineations that are cleaner, more nuanced, and more accurate.

Class 1: The Building Blocks of an ID.

Let's build a foundation you'll use every time you read a chart. Every good ID begins with clues and knowing what to look for.

In this class, we'll begin building the foundation for every future delineation by learning how planets, signs, and houses each contribute their own piece to the story. We'll also explore some of the quickest ways to recognize astrological archetypes, including elements, modalities, and house types.

Class 2: Building and Contrasting the Sun & Moon.

Let's see who's who. Before we define the Sun and Moon, let's see what we already think we know. Using the observations everyone has collected, we'll begin sorting, discussing, comparing, and even voting on the words we associate with each luminary.

Class 3: The Moon Family.

Let's build some IDs. Ready?

In this class we'll explore the Moon, Cancer, and the 4th House individually while also examining the natural affinities they share. Like members of the same family, they have similarities, but each has its own unique identity. By the end of class, we'll have built a distinct ID for each member of the Moon Family.

Class 4: The Sun Family.

Let's separate the similarities from the identities. Using the same process, we'll build the Sun Family. Together we'll explore the Sun, Leo, and the 5th House, identifying what makes each one unique while recognizing the qualities they naturally share. By the end of class, we’ll have built both family IDs and be ready to begin bringing them together in a birth chart.

Now the fun begins. Let's delineate!

Now it's time to put everything we've learned into practice. Using the archetypes we've explored throughout the series, we'll begin creating simple delineations while keeping each ID separate. By the end of this class, you'll have a practical system for continuing to build IDs for every new planet, sign, and house you encounter throughout your astrology journey.
