For centuries, the Druids of the Celtic world served as teachers, healers, poets, judges, and keepers of sacred wisdom. Their understanding of nature, ritual, and the unseen world formed the spiritual foundation of Celtic culture, yet much of this knowledge was gradually suppressed or forgotten.
In this five-week journey, students will explore the history and philosophy of the Druids while learning practical ways to reconnect with nature, develop intuitive awareness, and incorporate authentic Druidic practices into modern life. Through guided discussions, rituals, meditation, spellcraft, and personal reflection, participants will gain both a deeper understanding of Celtic spirituality and practical tools for their own spiritual journey.
Designed for beginners as well as those wishing to deepen an existing practice, this course offers a respectful and accessible introduction to one of Europe's oldest wisdom traditions.
In this series, we'll compare similarities, identify differences, gather clues, and gradually separate one archetype from another until each one stands on its own. Using the Sun and Moon Families as our examples, you'll learn to identify each archetype before combining it with others — creating delineations that are cleaner, more nuanced, and more accurate.
Michelle Smith ( Bizjak ) is an educator, author, and lifelong student of Celtic spirituality, folklore, and the natural world. Her work explores the enduring wisdom of the Druid tradition, bringing together historical research, mythology, seasonal practices, and reflective spiritual exploration in a way that is both accessible and meaningful for modern audiences.
As the author of Druid Book of Spells: For the Lost Daughters, Michelle has spent years studying Celtic traditions, sacred symbolism, folklore, and the relationship between nature and personal transformation. Her teaching encourages students to approach Druidry with curiosity, respect for its historical roots, and a willingness to develop their own thoughtful practice.
In addition to her work in spiritual education, Michelle has built a career as an educator, entrepreneur, and systems designer, creating educational programs and curriculum for both traditional and online learning environments. She believes that ancient wisdom still has an important place in today's world—not as something to be replicated exactly, but as a source of insight, reflection, and connection with the rhythms of nature.
Through her classes, Michelle invites students to rediscover the stories, symbolism, and practices that have inspired generations while finding their own path with authenticity and intention.
