This 5-week course offers a comprehensive, integrated exploration of temperament, bridging classical astrology with psychological and physical well-being. Rather than treating temperament as an isolated concept, the curriculum guides participants through calculating natal chart factors, understanding psychological expressions, and applying Medical Astrology to nurture the mind-body connection. Designed for both personal self-discovery and practical consulting, the course combines theory with group chart synthesis, Q&A, and real-world application. 

 

Here's what you will learn as part of your 5 week learning journey:

 

Week 1: Introduction to Temperament

In week one we will explore a foundational understanding of temperament in order to contextualize our exploration in the coming weeks. One of the misunderstandings of temperament is how it is often discussed in a decontextualized manner. We will get a firm foundation in how to orient towards temperament in the first class.

 

Week 2: Temperament and Astrology

In week 2 we will enter into how to see temperament in the natal chart. We will learn HOW to think about temperament in a way that uses calculation, temperament theory, and synthesize it in a way that makes it applicable. This is the key that is missing in the way temperament is shared in relation to astrology.

Week 3: The Psychology of Temperament

Now that we have used temperament in relationship to astrology, we will discuss how to understand temperament from a psychological lens. This will give you the ability to understand how the chart expresses itself, while also considering complexity. An overview of the psychology of temperament will be outlined.

Week 4: The Physiology of Temperament

Missing from general astrology is how temperament influences the physical body. In this week we will explore lifestyle considerations that allow for the reunion of the mind-body connection and understand basic concepts in Medical Astrology that can serve in your personal and consulting astrological practice. No matter if you are looking to apply medical or psychological astrology, the self knowledge this can bring to you and the ones entrusted to you is invaluable.

Week 5: Synthesis of Temperament

We will close out our time together with Q & A, concerns, doubts, and go over example charts as a group in order to be sure the concepts in this course are understood sufficiently to apply what you have learned in simple, practical, and integral ways.

Firstly, I want to thank my parents. I grew up with a mother who was an enthusiast for the empowerment of women and always encouraged me how to think, instead of what to think. My father taught me about the discipline it takes to achieve in the world and the importance of understanding discernment. These virtues instilled within me integrated in a way that created space for me to engage in a deeply uplifting and motivating practice, while also assisting others in finding out how to “walk the spiritual path with practical feet”, as one of my teachers likes to says. 

 

I began this path in college, while in pursuit of a health and sports science and psychology degree, where I experienced many things that could not be explained in current academia. This led me to seek a variety of traditions in order to understand the mind-body awareness connection. I started to build a deep relationship with nature which allowed me to de-condition myself enough to access an underlying energetic architecture that weaves through all traditions and is rooted in the understanding of nature.

 

All of my practices are grounded in years of invaluable direct experience with clients as the in-house herbalist and holistic health consultant working at a popular Spiritual supply store in Memphis, TN. Insights from elders, healers, rootworkers, and basing my astrological practice in applicable and relevant circumstances has shaped my practice.

 

Apart from my work with clients, I have spent countless hours being formally educated in Astrology & herbalism. Sajah Popham at the School of evolutionary herbalism is where I studied herbs primarily. My core astrological teachers are Judith Hill for Medical astrology & Mark Jones for evolutionary astrology. I have also studied with a lot of traiditonal astrology teachers including, Mychal A Bryan, Austin Coppock, Luis Ribeiro, & Gary Caton. 

 

Countless others have shared valuable insights along the way as well. My most influential teacher of life and spirit, Norma de Jesus also has shaped the way I practice. I am currently in the process of attaining my 200 hr RYT in Kundalini Yoga and in school training to become an Ayurvedic Practitioner. As I journey through higher education, I continue to deepen my knowledge in the interconnection of all traditions as they show me perspectives reflected in nature and begin with the Creator who unifies us all in spirit through the breath.
