Ursula Stockder: Tarot & Astrology 2022
During this five-weeks course we will approach different themes that are very important to consider while making a tarot reading. We are mainly going to be working with the Marseille, the Rider Wait and the Aleister Crowley Thoth tarot decks, although we are also going to be analyzing the influence of decks by painters, such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Dali, Remedios Varo, Jheronimus Bosch and more.
1st Class: The History and Development of the Tarot Cards
During our first lesson we are going to have a look at the history and development of the cards brought from the Silk Road and how they influenced the Renaissance period the link gathered in this period between astrology, tarot and alchemy, thanks to Ficino, and how and why the first allegorical tarot deck was developed by astrologer Marziano Tortona, and the influence of the Mantegna tarot deck and its different structure with respect to the Tarot of the Visconti Sforza and the Marseille Tarot.
2nd Class: Colours and Numbers
The importance of color and numbers to take into consideration while making a reading and how to start relating this knowledge to dreams and tarot cards.
3rd Class: Jung’s Psychological Influence on the Major Arcana
Jung’s psychological influence on the individuation process interpretation depicted in the tarot sequence of the 22 Major Archana tarot cards and the hidden spiritual meaning behind each of them.
4th Class: The 4 Elements and The Importance of the Minor Acana
The 4 Elements and the importance of the Minor Arcana. Why it is so important to know the history behind them and where they come from.
